-What happens here when - boarding and training-
I take pride helping you achieve a balanced well socialized puppy. a great head start. Well on it's way to being a good citizen . I work with the puppies on a daily basis. they live with me 24/7 and they don't spend more than 3 hours alone at any time. I live in a suburban area on approx 1/3 of an acre .-It is on a very busy road with a long driveway so puppies hear plenty of street traffic and are exposed to the road from the safety of the driveway. It is completely fenced(double) and an extremely safe place for puppies. It is set up just for puppies inside and out. My computer and all the comforts of home including a bedroom/ a birthing room, and an indoor training area. There is also a kitchen and bathroom/ grooming area. Crates are set up in the family room. Never farther than 20 feet away a door to- The outdoor space including a covered concrete play area or for those rainy night time potty trips. .
Puppies are only with adult dogs when supervised.
All of my training is based on following always - this is something that is hardwired in puppies until they are about 4 months old-It is the foundation of my training and I'm constantly build on this. Weather I'm using treats or toys- moving around and engaging your puppy through play- first and foremost it must be fun for puppy - Every puppy attention is slightly different and so is everyday-
Your puppy will be exposed to plenty of different types of surfaces and elevations including stairs. Throughout my yard I have decks and wooden walking paths ,concrete ,gravel, and a large grassy area .Things to climb on and plenty of places to explore safely and under supervision. They will also have indoor and outdoor places that they can be in unsupervised depending on the weather. Safe with toys and possibly another puppy or 2.
Your puppy will also be started on a probotic and immune booster as soon as he arrives- Having vaccinations, worming, leaving thier mother, and moving to a new place. It is a stressful time for puppies. While it is very important for a puppy(like us) to learn to deal with stress .By keeping them on a good schedual with plenty of sleep(they are still babies). Good nutritional food and giving a bit of a jump start with a puppy smart start probotic. truly does help- I will also be sending puppy home with a 2 week supply of this all natural product-
The first week with your puppy-
Getting puppy used to his crate/helping him get settled- introducing him to the other dogs-
Training starts with daily handling- submissive training- includes playing and rolling puppy on his back, handling his feet toes ears tail and belly.Discouraging mouthing always. This is done calmly with great affection. As the puppy is more comfortable being handled then we would start grooming, nail clipping ear cleaning, bathing if required. . All puppies are encouraged to fetch a ball and play tuggie .
Puppy will be involved with sights and sounds of a working house. They chase the broom, mop, bark at the vacuum, and steamer. They hear the TV and listen to the radio. They have stairs to learn on .The puppies don't have free range over my house although they are permitted to go upstairs when supervised.
All puppies eat individual feeding. The calmest quietest puppy will naturally eat first. The first week only, puppies are feed in the crate. It makes the crate an enjoyable activity.
All activities are used to promote patience, calmness. Learning to wait on the stairs, for meals, for walks. Taking short car rides.
8 weeks old puppies are learning basic sit and down both in a group and separately. With more treats and toys Learning to walk on a leash-Working on following -
10 week-They are taking short daily walks,in the yard and to the road.

Out and leave it are in his vocabulary. He can wait for supper, and have a great house training schedual(see house-training).Most are sleeping at least 6 hours through the night in his crate. very little treats, mostly toys.now exploring farther away from home in safe areas. -
12-14 weeks -second shot -exploring safe area's close to home- walks around the block-using a long line and working on distraction- proper meet and great with dogs and people in the area-
16 week puppies-3rd shot- Are doing all of the above but are now working on long lines with distance and holding sits for longer periods, working on distractions with come . Walking off leash somewhat. Are walked daily with a pack of dogs. These puppies are well balanced and social. Bladder is getting stronger and most puppies are house trained or pretty close.
Your puppy will leave here with a schedual for feeding crating and potty. I offer a video of training using my methods with this puppy, and plenty of contact and follow up. A visit in person is the maximum way to benafit from training methods .This is strongly encouraged.
Puppies are individual just like children- they all learn differently and at different rates. In most cases puppies are extremely eager to please, and want to follow you by instinct. However above postings are general- I will update you regularly on your own puppies nature. I video tape some of our training for your enjoyment and for reference-
House training -isn't always easy and with puppies it is a combination of schedual, confinment and supervision, and maturity. This will ensure puppy asks to go out if not being supervised, is watched to catch any slip ups and scheduals to get out at the right time. Bladder control is also a factor and is different in all puppies. Puppies know where the door is very quickly but don't quite know to ask to go out . They are still young and lack bladder control .
